Micky D's Fees - Adam

Christmas 09 brought forth many gifts and fortunes, one in particular that Pam gave me was the McDonald's Arch Card. To some that isn't much of a gift but personally its one of the top ten gifts that I could receive. So I've been using it wisely (yes I still have some cash money on the card because I know how to stretch a buck). any way the reason I'm posting this is not only because I'm depositing some previously purchased Micky Ds as we speak but also because of some observations I have noticed allow me to explain:

The McDouble:
  • Price: $1.00
  • Content: Two Patties, One slice of Cheese
The Double Cheese Burger:
  • Price: $1.19
  • Content: Two Patties, Two slices of Cheese
The Hamburger:
  • Price: $0.90
  • Content: One Patty
The Cheese Burger:
  • Price: $1.00
  • Content: One Patty, One slice of Cheese
(prices and participation may vary)

now the first thing that should jump out at you looking at these options is the fact that the Cheese Burger and the McDouble are the same price... how can this be possible if the McDouble has an extra patty? Upon further inspection we find the next flaw and that is the price increase from a hamburger to a cheeseburger is a dime correct? yet the price difference between the McDouble and a Double Cheeseburger is 19 cents...

the reason this SHOULD turn a few heads is the fact that the only difference between the hamburger and the cheeseburger is a slice of cheese, the same goes for the McDouble and the Double Cheeseburger. Are we to believe that if a second slice of cheese is added atop two patties instead of just a single patty that the second slice's price increases 9 cents? is this some sort of height fee? that if cheese is lifted higher than an initial first patty that there must be 9 cents more added to the price of said burger?

and how is it possible that a cheeseburger containing one less patty of beef costs the EXACT same as a McDouble? something isn't right at corporate McDonald's alot of corrupt CEOs and I think the shareholders and the board members need to know exactly what is going on in this establishment. The public has a right to know why Cheese is being withheld from us in certain cases and in other cases patties are allotted at no extra cost.

Am I the only one brave enough to speak out? I know there are others amongst you.

Sons of America I am Adam, and I see a whole army of my countrymen here in defiance and tertiary. You've come to eat as free men...and free men you are. What will you do without Cheese? Will you fight? Aye fight and you may pay more, run and you'll save money...at least a while. and lying in your beds many years from now. Would you be willing to trade all the McDoubles from this day till then for one chance JUST ONE CHANCE, to come back here and tell Mcdonalds that they may take our nine cents... but they'll never take our Cheese!

  2. You forgot about the ever eluding double hamburger, which is the same price as the mcdouble, $1.00. Think about it, i cant eat cheese as jamie pointed out, so mcdonalds has to rob me of my hard earned cash cuz i have health issues? i feel like this is discrimination and i can sue for that sort of thing. i wont cuz im lazy but i swear i could

  3. This is uncle bob, I look at this in a much different light. When looking at the price of that second slice of cheese I feel that they are saving you $.01. This is reasoned with the price of the single slice increase of $.10 when comparing the hamburger and cheeseburger.

  4. perhaps uncle Bob, but then how do you explain the McDouble and Cheeseburger price equivalence?

  5. It's simply their way of offering you the one patty option if you like the single patty option over two patties.
