Cherry On Top - Adam

The phrase "a cherry on top" would lead some to believe that the cherry is the worlds greatest tasting object. Think about this, no matter what perfect dessert that you create or are about to eat everyone seems to think that if you place a cherry on top of it that the meal becomes significantly improved. Or when people say oh that's just the cherry on top as in that is the pinnacle the thing that pushes whatever you are talking about to the next level. What is it with cherries? what makes them so great? Who decided that cherry would be the small fruit that sits on top of all desserts as if it rules over all treats? Why not a grape? they are the same size and more popular. Icing on the cake? that makes sense Icing on the cake it the best part of the cake but put a cherry on top suddenly icing is old news.
