Collared People - Adam

Do you think it is a coincidence that the term collar is used for both a device that restrains a dog and the fold of cloth that is around the neck of a man's dress shirt?

I gotta hollar about collars, I think that calling the top of a dress shirt a collar is a symbolic metaphor for the nudering of testosterone as we know it. What happened to men? when was the last time we saw a man like William Wallace on this earth? or Achilles? or Maximus Decimus Meridius? I can tell you for certain none of them wore collars and especially not a tie. and what is a tie? I'm surprised we don't call them leashes. Have men become the same as dogs? Do we blindly follow our masters wearing collars and leashes? I'm sure our ancestors never thought they'd see the day. But we are warriors of a different kind. Fighting the modern battles, the battles against high gas prices, standard definition television and the most fierce battle of them all consumer rights. Many have classified present day as being the most advanced civilization in the history of our existence, psh our definitions of advanced are clearly not the same. Sure I love the dollar menu and the ability to write a blog while I'm sitting upon this throne but is it worth all the sacrifices that mankind has to make? Sometimes I just want to get away from all this stuff and do some serious
Brian Robeson living.
