FaceSchuch - Adam

First and most importantly today is Anne Fogarty's Birthday

alright now as I was saying facebook was created in 2004 and the point of it was for college students to network with fellow college students. Sometime in 2006 the flood gates were opened so everyone could sign up and since then everyone has been displeased with facebook. Every time a new version of the site comes out everyone complains about how they hate it and join groups and stuff to make it go back. Not only does it not go back but they will change it and mess with it more over and over. Facebook has now become a family site, its less about drunk pictures and more about taking your actual life and putting it online.

Anyway the other day I was trying to find my first wall post to see who posted it and what it said, not only is that virtually impossible now, but also all posts from 2006 are gone. I went to a wall-to-wall of a person I know I've had as a facebook friend for a while and all posts prior to 2007 are gone. I don't undertand the point of a wall if: 1)I can't look back on it easily anymore, 2)its deleting old stuff, and 3) all it is anymore is status updates so you are basically writing on your own wall.

I'm calling it right now facebook isn't going to last. The generations under us are not going to want some website that their parents are on. plus once every thing is on facebook like every product imaginable and its mentioned in popular movies and joked about something else will come along for young kids. This is the exact path myspace was on once it hit main stream it died and facebook took over. now I'm not saying we won't still us it, but younger people will find something else and facebook will be seen as for old folks
