While every expert is seeming to write of the Nuggets in this years playoffs (either versus the Jazz or versus anyone they will play in round two), I find it odd that one thing hasn't been mentioned.
The Nuggets won the toughest division in the NBA. And one of the toughest in the last 10 years.
Do you realize that 4 of the 5 teams in the Nuggets division made the playoffs? Do you realize that each of them had at least 50 wins? No other division in the NBA had more than two 50 win teams.
And yet no one has any faith in the Nuggets. If they can fight all season and win that division, then why can't they make some noise in the playoffs? Heck, they even have a chance to win it all (yea, I said it). They faced a brutal schedule and came out with 53 wins, and now that they are fully healthy, minus Coach Karl, they are about to put it all together.
So every team should be aware of the Nuggets, and hope they don't have to play them next. I might not be an 'expert,' but when the Nuggets push deep into the playoffs, I won't hesitate to say "I told you so."
