Stats - Brian

Some stats and records to munch on from the Super Bowl:

Drew Brees tied the record for most completions in a SB with 32.

Manning and Brees set the record for the most combined completions in a SB with 63.

The Saints produced the largest comeback in SB history - 10 points.

Pierre Thomas is the 3rd running back in history to have a receiving touchdown in both the conference championship game and the SB in the same season (that's right, the 3rd).

The Colts produced the longest scoring drive in SB history - 96 yards.

The Saints had the first successful onside attempt before the 4th quarter in SB history.

Garrett Hartley of the Saints is the first kicker in SB history to make three field goals of 40 or more yards.

Super Bowl 44 was the most watched TV program in TV history (oh and the NFC championship game was the most watched non-SB sporting event of all time).

And one final one: This is the Saints first SB appearance and SB win.
