The Road Warrior - Adam
I feel like there are certain rules of the road that are unspoken. Pedestrians have the right of way is first and foremost (except for trains). After experiencing Columbus and walking in and around campus I have taken advantage of this cardinal rule. However I do make an exception and that is for buses. Anytime the road is used as a person's way of income I always try to make their life as easy as possible. Bus drivers and Truck drivers spend their lives on the road and I feel like we should try to cut them as much slack as possible I mean the road can be very dangerous. The road is kinda like their office and I wouldn't want people messing with me when I am at work. Truckers if treated with respect can beyour best friend when on the road. Plus they spend hours driving and they aren't the easiest vehicle to maneuver and they don't stop on a dime. So the next time you see a convoy rolling through give them an arm pump and listen for that sweet sweet air horn.

I think the most pertinent information in this post is when you explained in those parentheses that trains are the first and foremost to have the right of way,
ReplyDeleteI feel like pedestrians having the right of way is not an unspoken law of the road and that it is actually a legit written law that the government came up with. It might be different in Ohio idk but it def is in NY
ReplyDeletenaaa I'm pretty sure its unspoken... like when a biker passes another biker and drops his left hand as a sign for safe ride
