Cream of the Crop - Adam

Frieda Smith You might have done a post about this before, I can't recall: Top 5 movies of all time.

Wow what a ridiculously difficult question to pose to a man while doing paper work. If there is a more difficult question I have yet to be asked it. I love movies and its hard to pick just 5 because there are so many different kinds, moods, situations, conditions and variables that play into favorite movies. top 5 comedies, top 5 action, top 5 dramas, I could maybe manage those but plain old stuck on an island and can only have 5 movies which would they be, what a challenge!

Its hard to just pick movies so I can try to give you an idea by giving you my top 5 directors:

  1. Spielberg
  2. Nolan Brothers
  3. Fincher
  4. Tarantino
  5. Zemeckis
I know I don't have James Cameron and the only reason I would include him is for Terminator. That isn't good enough for me I feel. Coen Brothes were close in there along with Wes Anderson.

now it would be cheap of me to just give you my top five directors and call it a day so I'll try to muster up a top 5 movies, please note that aside from my number one 2-5 are in no particular order.
  1. Fight Club
  2. Pulp Fiction
  3. Star Wars
  4. Back to the Future
  5. Jurassic Park
First I'd just like to say that I can't believe I just did that, I feel like I left out so many damn master pieces braveheart, gladiator, Lord of the Rings, Billy Madison, every other Brad Pitt movies created, Kill Bill, Saving Private Ryan, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Indiana Jones, Dark Knight, Space Jam, Godfather, Forest Gump, The Departed, I could go on and on but there it is I maned up and made the list of 5, do I regret it maybe...but that doesn't take away from the fact I made the list.

*Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and such movies, although technically trilogies, I consider them to be one long movie.

  1. Nice list! And the fact that you even mentioned Lord of the Rings gives you cool points far beyond anything.

  2. So when you count Star Wars as one long movie, are we talking from Jar-Jar to celebrating with the Ewoks? Or just from Tattoine to Endor?

  3. I'll just say this... if Lucas directed it I don't like it...unless it was made in the 70's
